If this latest premium WordPress theme design looks familiar, that is because it was originally released over at Mod Themes. Over the past year since that theme design was released, the StudioPress team has acquired much of the talent from Mod Themes and it appears that they have agreed to release this design (and maybe others?) under the StudioPress brand. I’ve been working with the StudioPress team for close to three years now since the creation of the original Revolution Theme and I have to say I have never been more excited than I am today. For a few months now I’ve had the privilege of trying out the various builds of their new ultimate creation, the Genesis theme framework, which combines the core code of their various themes, making it easier for users to upgrade as new versions of their theme framework is released.

Like all good theme frameworks, the Genesis theme uses child themes and hooks so users can make adjustments to the design without hacking any of the core theme code making for a flawless transition and helping you avoid having anything break (or losing changes) on your updates!
